Living in Alignment — How Purpose Shapes Your Peace
Sometimes, it’s not about doing more—it’s about doing what truly matters.
A few months ago, I was trying to “do it all.” My homeschool routine was meticulously planned, coaching sessions stacked back-to-back, and social invitations sprinkled throughout the week like confetti. Everything looked productive—on paper. In reality, I felt like a juggling clown trying not to drop a single ball.
I paused and asked myself: “Wait…are these choices really reflecting my values?” Two values jumped out: growth and peace.
Homeschooling my kids? Yes, it was fulfilling—but some days I realized I was just racing them through lessons to feel productive, instead of nurturing curiosity and meaningful learning.
Coaching others? Absolutely rewarding—but when I took on sessions that didn’t resonate with my heart, I ended up drained and talking about things I didn’t even care about (ever given advice on someone else’s messy kitchen life when you just want coffee? That’s me).
Social life? Fun, sure—but coffee dates and hangouts felt like obligations. I even laughed thinking, “Why am I drinking chai for someone else’s energy boost instead of my own?“
Once I started making intentional choices aligned with growth and peace, life shifted. I slowed down homeschool lessons to allow curiosity and creativity, focused coaching on clients whose goals resonated with mine, and chose social activities that genuinely lifted me. Suddenly, I wasn’t just surviving my schedule—I was enjoying it.
Living in alignment isn’t about doing less—it’s about doing the right things. When your actions reflect your core values, you:
- Protect your mental and emotional energy
- Feel present and intentional in everything you do
- Transform busyness into meaningful progress
Here’s a little challenge for you: Take a look at your week. Which commitments are actually aligned with your values? And more importantly…
